Since when has Kenny Stills been this world beater? Wasn't no one checking for Kenny Stills before this trade now suddenly it's "WHAT!!! THE SAINTS TRADED STILLS???"
We LOST the Jimmy Graham trade. That's a trade we lost. And not because we got poor value in return. I think getting a Pro Bowl C and a 1st rd pick could prove huge dividends for us. But we lost in the fact that we were in such a shytty position with our talent and cap that we had to trade an elite TE.
Stills? C'mon dude. You talking as if we traded Dez Bryant.
I can line up at WR and Brees will make me look good. We'll be pretty damn fine without Kenny Stills brehs.
The problem is all last season while we were going 7-9, mind you in one of the worst divisions in football where we were getting embarrassed by horrible teams, fans were screaming we had to make changes. Well we can't sit on our butts and be status quo about everything. We were garbage last year. Lord knows if we kept Stills and Grubbs and Graham people on here would STILL say we were going to be garbage next season. So good for the FO for shaking things up. Reminds me of Payton's first year in 06.

Brees' contract is what ultimately cost us Carl Nicks, leaving us to settle for Ben Grubbs these past few seasons. :scustcos:

I'll lol when Stills becomes Robert Meachem II.
But I fail to see how it was a poor trade for the Saints. A guy we took in the 5th rd, who was never a Pro Bowler or lights out WR, we flipped into a starting linebacker (who I'm not hyping up to be good or anything) and a 3rd rd pick. That's amazing value.
I wish Kenny the best. He's a good player. He's not a world beater though. To get him for a 3rd rder is crazy. Minnesota and Chicago traded 2 better WRs and got scraps in return.

Cooks, Colston, and whoever we draft/sign will be plenty fine brehs. If the Saints know how to do one thing, it's find good WRs. It helps that Brees makes many look good.
We didn't "lose" a trade where we got a 3rd rder and linebacker in return for Kenny Stills brehs. Trade will be even better if we get a good player with the pick. FO can NOT screw this year's draft up.

Kenny Stills wasn't that good. He was really fast and didn't do much with it. If I was a Saints fan I wouldn't be upset about losing him. He's a permanent potential type dude.

cause we do dumb things like make Brees highest paid NFL qb, offer jarius Byrd a front loaded contact, throw money at people in FA and they don't produce, trade away our draft picks
we need to start drafting and home-growing our talent instead of being first in line to give free agents big paydays

We knew cap hell was coming. We did NOT know our talent would underperform and be as bad as they are. Remember, last year behind Seattle we were the consensus NFC pick with many saying it was our most talented roster in years. I don't think our talent is THAT bad, but clearly it's not great either.
We went all in knowing Brees has at best 2-3 years left, so we were willing to eat the cap hit if it meant contending. It's blown up in our face though because we overrated the shyt out of the talent.
We had no choice.
What is fukkin wrong with this generation? I never in my life would put on a damn dress. I dated a girl about a year ago that kept trying to put make up on me.
