A lot of Salaam Remi haters on here. Don't get mad at Remi for Nas selection... during this time he was sending heat everywhere. Matter fact one of my favorite Nas tracks is "Where Y'all At" and it's a damn shame that track never made an album.

Wow can't wait to hear. I'm in the camp of folks disappointed by his Nas work, although he had nice stuff on Life Is Good. As a Nas stan back then it felt bad seeing Hov with a production team of dope dudes (Kanye and Just Blaze) while Nas never truly had anything like that. I hoped it would be Alchemist but they parted ways.
Can you imagine Nas getting the beats Prodigy got on "Albert Einstein"? :wow: :banderas:

people always say Salaam ruined Nas and it seems like conventional wisdom but when you actually sit down and think about it, there aren't that many wack Salaam Remi/Nas tracks.

This was good but they always run out of time. I knew Salam did the Bushbabees and Fugees remixes but I didn't know anything he did before that. Hopefully if they get sponsors like rosenberg mentioned they will be more consistent and spend more time to get through everything with the guest.

It was close to making HHID it was actually a Best Buy "bonus" track when you copped the album first week

The Salaam hate remains unjustified. Hes actually the dude on Nas' 2000's albums who actually made the best stuff. People just assume he does all the wack stuff cause they hear the name most often and then assume he does all the beats on the album. He's responsible for the heaters and that was shown again on Life is Good when it was mostly him and No ID

He had a banner 2012 year with Life is Good and Miguel's album, his Grammy Producer of the Year nomination in 2013 was well deserved.

i still think one of the best beats he ever made was fu gee la

as for the nas stuff

i will say i think nas over use of him was what made him sound repetative at a point

but he did give him some heat
