Salaried vs Hourly

Salaried tends to be higher pay because they factor in overtime already .

Im on salary and that means:
- Im never late to work
- I can leave early and just make up the hours.


my job personally i rarely work over 40hrs a week.

mine doesn't

im on salaried as well, and a few years ago they added another 20 minutes to our workday

i didnt get a extra dime

I used to work hourly and my boss was salary.
As soon as I would get to work this nikka would straight up leave cuz he was getting paid for a full day regardless. It was at a mall and I'd see him walk by hours later with a smoothie and shyt talking bout "everything good?"

Salary sucks. Only plus side is missing work and your check stays the same but more than likely on average you'll be working more hours that u won't get paid for

I did an engineering job on salary, Worked like 50-60 hours a week and got paid for 35.

I'm facility manager where I'm at, and havent looked around at the job market in a long time so I couldn't say.

... But the low end/entry level job market here is better than most of the state.

With hourly you should be able to demand a higher hourly rate since you're not taking advantage of benefits.

We have different experiences. If you're a 1099 then the rate is even higher.
