He was never selling the most and he never dissed anyone for selling less than him.
Only time I heard Jay/Jay stans talk about sales in that way was when Cam'ron was calling him irrelevant after he did 700k first week and Cam did like 100k. Then dipset started juelzing about Koch splits and how 100k on Koch was platinum on a major or some shyt
Other than that it's him saying that his best album flopped, or him saying that skills don't sell.
2pac himself was the first person I heard always taking about him selling more than Big, breaking down how many weeks albums had been out and shyt.

Even if never said that it's irrelevant to what I said. His stans most certainly use sales and hits as their go to in every debate, as long as they comparing him to someone with lower sales or fewer hits. The criteria change quick if he don't have the advantage there.
