I dont think so. I think the artist get $$$ from spotify but it isnt counted within record sales unfortunately for artist

Them nikkas aint rappers they are pop artist who sometimes rap their lyrics but are not under any variation of the hip hop umbrella. I will tell both of them to their face at the same time
They also had the foresight to go where the money is and have made bank doing so without looking back.

Nope...its actually high for her 1st week. Her last album only did half of that in its 1st week but ended up selling 5mill WW to date.
Like previously discussed. Pop stars don't have crazy first week numbers, but they have longevity. I mentioned previously how, as big as Beyonce is, she's never sold more than 550K first week, that's damn near the baseline for the bigger hiphop acts (Kanye, Wayne when he was hit, Drake, Jay, 50 when he was hot, Em). Katy Perry only did 190k first week in her last album and she went on to go triple plat while somebody like Drake will sell 650k first week and just barely hit double plat.
As a matter of fact Imagine Dragons did Big Sean numbers their first week and still went plat and IIRC Adele didnt have crazy 1st week numbers and her shyt might be diamond at this point
