nikka he only got a distribution deal with republic i believe.
It's not a 360 deal. So they get some cash with the album sales but the rest its all his and he touring like crazy got his own label.

None of these flops are surprising if you have an understanding about these artists true standing in the music world. Jay is the last big name to drop an album and Drake is the next. Big Sean and 2 Chainz's sales aren't signs of the direction the genre's going

That's the problem... He is not an album driven artist he sold on singles. No one wanted another album so soon esp when the first wasn't goodTity sold 150k just 13 months ago.
I'm a Weeknd stan, but Kiss Land is the weakest of his four projects by a good bit, in my opinion. So, I'm not surprised at the sales. I think with a better effort he could've broke 150K. But, hopefully he uses this experience to put out an even better album next time.
