Mentioning Robin Williams was reasonable just to show the juxtaposition of what people in this country value. Nobody's giving a fukk about these innocent Black kids getting capped off by the police force that's supposed to "serve and protect" us meanwhile everybody's mourning the death of somebody who WANTED TO DIE.

the fact that they committed suicide doesnt make the death less sad. dude didnt want to die, he had severe depression that made him want to die. that being said, the michael brown death is more of a tragedy than the robin williams death, but it doesnt make his death any less sad

Firstly, you're probably white.

Secondly, if in fact you are black, you're a c00n. Here's the thing, when you have extreme poverty you have crime and violence no matter what race of people we're talking about. And most of those killings you're talking about are gang shootings. If you willfully join a gang, that's on you.

Someone sworn to protect and serve taking any opportunity to shoot your ass because you're black is a problem. Some loser not minding his own business and choosing to stalk a kid just because he's black and ultimately murdering him is a problem. White people villianizing black people to substantiate their racism and these murders is another problem.

Part of the reason black people are profiled as thugs is because of the high crime rates in the cities...people who arent super understanding dont care about poverty rates etc... they only think about how the shyt effects them.
So its a cycle. A never ending cycle.

Its just how people are. People on here have no problem w/ saying "all white people are the devil", and white people have no problem assuming black kids are "thugs".

So yes, all points people bring up in these situations are relevant.
In this case black on black crime doesnt matter because its a cop abusing his power...
...but in the big picture black on black crime does matter because people are going to generalize black people (especially if you look a certain way) as thugs.

People bring up black on black crime because if everyone protesting truly cared about black people...why wouldnt they work everyday to represent black folks to the best of their abilities?

Doing both is fine, but when I watch the news last night and see a 20 min piece on Robin Williams and zero coverage about the execution of a unarmed 18 yr old by police its a problem.

since this happened its been all over the news. yeah there were 20 min pieces on R.Williams, but there's been hours+ coverage on Mike Brown.

@ejthompson23 is not black. I read this entire thread. He came in playing a black character that somehow doesn't see the outrage of a white cop killing yet another unarmed black youth. Once that was clear and it was pointed out he was not black, he then began to pepper his posts with "wit"s, "dat"s, and has been tossing around "nikka" like nobody's business. You see that's how he thinks we talk. What his dumb non-acting ass doesn't know is, if he was really a haitian that doesn't identify with american blacks, he would not use the term 'nikka' or 'my nikka'. Killing yourself = I want to die. And he did more than actually want to do die, he went ahead and merked himself. I mean, I wanna have six-pack abs but I'm not really doing anything to get them.

And it DOES make it less sad. Michael Brown was a victim, Robin Williams was the perpetrator in his own murder. It might sound harsh but it is what it is.
