I am fascinated. It's like a puzzle. I'm trying to think of all the angles. There's no way a coach is this stupid unless he has handshake deals on top of handshake deals. I feel like we're all missing something. To get Marcus y'all would have to jump at least the Jets and Bears at #6 and #7. That leaves the Oak, Jax, and Washington as trade partners at #3, #4, and #5, but only if they're not vying for someone they need/want with everyone from #8 down to #20 and all 3 of those teams have NEEDS. Chip already gave up this year's 2nd so that's out. It'd also be easier for NY and Chi to switch spots with Oak, Jax, or Was because there's less chance they'll miss someone they're targeting. It basically means that Chip will have to trade up to the low teens THEN trade again to jump into the #3, #4, or #5 spot.......unless he's fairly confident right now that Mariota falls past #7.......and all of this is predicated on Tampa or Tennessee passing on dude.

i dont know. maybe chip knew TENN was interested in bradford and he swooped him up to try and swing a trade in a few months and if it falls through will just say he always planned on starting bradford

Chip kelly is a gimmick coach...he was in college(got exposed) and he'll get exposed in the NFL. OSU had Mariotta running for his life...what does he think the Cowboys Giants and Redskins are gonna do...GROWN ASS MEN DAWG

Oh...yeah I know, you're right. Putting that much stock into Mariotta is NUTTY...not saying he won't work out but he's still a rookie, and I'm not sure if his college achievements will add up to anything at the pro level. It looks to me like Chip know his time is very limited at that level so he like "f it...I'm doing me and if I get fired at least it's on my own terms. ".


But then again, if he can land Mariotta that'll buy him more time...I'm sure he knows this and it's part of the reason he goin all in for him...his own self preservation. Bad season...oh well he's a rookie gimme 5 more years to cook with him lmao
