What is gravity? Why did a guy even have to come up with it? The Ancient Egyptians believed the Earth was flat and that the heavens revolved around us. If the Earth is flat, then there is an objective up and an objective down. Thus there is no need for a magical invisible force that keeps people and things stuck on a spinning ball.
Gravity was only created as a tool to explain how people and things could stick on a rotating ball. If there is no globe earth then there is no need for gravity.
And FTR, I know a lot more about gravity than you. For example, do you know that Newton's equations fail when you take into account the observable data that has been collected from the way stars rotate around the super-massive black holes theorized to be at the center of every galaxy? When scientists first started tracking the speed of stars at the outer edge of the galaxy, they expected them to be slower than the stars near the center (because according to Newton's equations, the more mass there is, the faster things orbit around it and the less mass there is the slower things orbits around it and according to observable data). Because there is less mass at the outer edge of the galaxy than there at the center near the super-massive black hole, it was predicted by Newton's equations that stars in the outer edges of the galaxy would revolve around the center of the galaxy at a slower pace than stars near the center of the galaxy. Similar to how scientists claim Pluto revolves around the sun more slowly than Mercury because Pluto is farther away from the influence of the Sun's gravity than Mercury. But instead what the scientists found was that stars at the outer edge of the galaxy were going at the same speed as stars near the super-massive black hole at the center. This confused everyone. It would be like finding out that Pluto actually revolved around the Sun at the same speed as Mercury which is right next to the Sun. This would cause Newton's equations on gravity to totally break down. So rather than scientists saying that Newton's equations were potentially wrong and that maybe they didn't apply across the entire galaxy, what they did instead was create what is now known as DARK MATTER. A magical invisible type of matter that does not interact with our reality in any way other than for exerting that extra amount of gravity needed to make Newton's equations on gravity work for stars rotating around the super-massive black hole at the center of the galaxy. Yes you heard that right. DARK MATTER only "exists" to help make Newton's equations work. And FYI no one has ever found any proof that DARK MATTER exists. Its just some made up shyt to keep this lie about gravity going.
Its shenanigans like this surrounding DARK MATTER that made me realize this science shyt is BS. These dudes just make up shyt every time one of their closely held theories doesn't match with observable data. They create a new theory to explain the observations and that new theory is always based on some shyt that can't be tested. Same crap that comes from the String Theory crowd as well as the Parallel/Multiple Universes crowd, and so on. Science and in particular Astronomy/Physics has a lot of shady shyt going on that if people really understood would have them calling it BS more often.

Your confused about laws and theories. Gravity has both laws and theories with in it.
Dark matter is a theory that is made to compliant the laws of gravity.
String theory and Multiple Universes universe's are theories not laws. Massive differences between them. Theories become law when enough testing has been done that is a basic axiom that can be universally applied.
You mentioned economics which has basically no laws just a lot of theories of which are always evolving. What if QE was the answer to monetary policy problems? Nobody really knows with economics.

If the Egyptians who had such deep knowledge of science and astronomy believed the Earth was flat then I got no reason to believe otherwise.

You might need to read up on the experiment I'm talking about. Newton's equations for gravity say that the more mass there is, the faster you rotate around that object. The less mass there is, the slower you rotate around it. That is why Mercury is said to rotate around the Sun faster than Pluto. Because it is closer to the Sun's mass. When scientists began tracking the speed of stars around the galaxy they expected the same rule to hold. That the closer you are to something as massive as the black hole at the center of the galaxy, the faster you rotate around it while the farther away you get from that black hole the slower you rotate around it. THIS IS WHAT NEWTON'S EQUATIONS PREDICT. Instead when the data was actually compiled that is not what was found. The stars at the outer edge of the galaxy move just as fast as the stars right next to the super-massive black hole near the center. THIS WAS A HUGE DEAL. It literally went against one of the most dearly held equations in physics. Newton's Equation on Gravity. So one of these things has to be true. (1) Newton's equation is wrong or (2) There is a magical invisible amount of mass that we can't see, feel, or sense in any way that is accounting for the missing mass needed to save Newton's equation.
So guess what the scientists did? They went with option 2. They created a magical invisible amount of mass that we cannot sense in any way in our reality and the only thing of it we can measure is its gravitational influence which magically accounts for the difference predicted by Newton's Equations. And voila with one bold move Newton's Equation was saved.
Now you tell me. Which is more plausible? That Newton's equations are WRONG? Or there is actually a magical invisible amount of mass out there called DARK MATTER that does not interact in any way with our reality other than for providing that missing mass needed to make Newton's equations work? If you believe this tale spun by these cacs scientists, then I guess you'll also believe them when they tell you the earth is round.

I would say the opposite is true. The more you study this shyt, the more you realize its BS. I actually believed this science junk when I was like the ignorant masses and got it in pieces. When you actually study this shyt, you realize what a fukkin charade it is.
Stop letting other people tell you what to believe. Research this stuff for yourself and only trust what you can test empirically.
LMAO. OK bruh...I've done research on this topic. I have looked at arguments from both sides and I have come to the conclusion that is Earth is ROUND. It is a fact...that isn't up for debate.
