(1) Let us start with the definition of "poaching"... "To take fish or game illegally, especially by trespassing on another's property." poaching...

(2) When you look at that definition, is it fair to say Rap Music/Hip Hop is founded on poaching...Essentially, stealing illegally i.e. without the owner's knowledge and permission...

(3) Furthermore, if you have watched documentaries on poaching, you will notice that poachers will kill an Elephant just to get the tusks...Disgusting...

Similarly, a Hip Hop "producer" will take a 4 second loop of the sweetest melody, and leave the rest of the song to be forgotten...

(4) Even more disgusting are the "Crate Diggers" or should I say bottom feeders, looking for the rarest music, not to expose us to the music, but PRIMARILY to pretend that they actually produced something fresh and new...

If you think I am reaching, listen to the album Moment Of Truth by Gangstarr, in that album there is a skit were DJ Premier calls people snitches for revealing the original song that was sampled...

Proving my point, Crate Diggers' PRIMARY goal is to trick the public into believing they have exceptional musical skills, and not to put us on to some new music...

If the sampling laws were never changed, we would have no EASY way of knowing were the samples came from...

(5) When we consider all these points, it is fair to surmise that criminal culture is the core of Rap/Hip Hop music...It started with DJs thieving break beats here and there to now serious crimes such as murder...

(6) But I still love it though, because I don't believe in right or wrong...Whatever you can get away with is acceptable...:krs:
