Please. This is business. Always. If you got caught up in the rhetoric that's your fault. I salute any black man that can nearly double down on his initial investment. Especially when that investment was 8 figures.

Maybe that's just me tho. I ain't sign up for shyt on tidal, so what do I care?
I didn't get caught up with that, nor did I fall for any of that trash.

They were just artists looking to make a business deal, the fact that they were trying to take this higher moral ground to sell it is what was so transparent, but only to a few.

This announcement alone, will probably start turning ppl away now that they see how they were being played.

No, I doubt it. That's not how Jay does business. All his business investments have always been long term. He invested in the Nets for like a decade before he flipped those shares and that was only when he got into Sports Management. Rocawear, Ace of Spaces, 40-40, the advertising company, the labels, clothing brands, etc. Dude has never done a quick flip.

If anything, Samsung would get a substantial minority share and it into its default application which makes sense. The artists would gain from the move though because it means they would get twice of what they invested. I just don't see it though, if you use Tidal it has his fingerprints all over it. But to really compete he needs for it to be the default Samsung application.

Second, it would make no sense to acquire Tidal without Jay Z and the minority owners being involved because they all control their masters. Why would they give Tidal exclusives if they no longer own it? Buying Tidal out without keeping all of those investors on board does not make financial sense. You would lose all the exclusives. People need to start critically thinking instead of accepting every article as true.

Not that funny since I used to actually work at Samsung and still have folks working there in Dallas and in Korea HQ, Suwon to be exact. Dig up my old post on Sohh. I talked about it there.

You really don't know about the tech, or telecom world.
It happens all the time.
Tech and telecom companies are cop and blow.
