What's the price range on these in the 70in range? I currently have a 1080p set that size, so whenever I do upgrade, I can't go lower than that.

@GoldenGlove

Yea, 65 is the largest you can get in the 8000 series, unless you jump up to 9 series, then it's $5K and that's at the Black Friday pricing.

shyt brazy... I got my set like 4 years ago, it's a Sharp Aquos and it was going for 2K... for a 70in. I kind of figured 65in was the highest most are going without the price getting out of control, might have to drop 5in when I do look at upgrading. I still have to cop a full frame camera/lenses, so if I'm dropping racks on tech, it would go towards that before a new TV

I remember you posting from the Home Theater thread about the Aquos. I wanted a 70" Samsung 6300 series, saw the price was the same for the 65" 8000 series plus a huge upgrade, decision made. I feel you on the photography, that stuff is not cheap especially when we talking good glass and bodies..

I've had no problem with lag in my games. I only play single player games on consoles though.

My PC is my main gaming platform.

But watching 4K (shyt even 1080p upscaled) looks so fukking good on my LG 4K OLED. The colors and perfect blacks :ohlawd:

I hear you fam, but Ionno about spending 3K on a tv, especially when other models out there are at least moderately comparable for half that. I can only imagine the misses shock if she saw me spend that on a tv alone, lol. Even greater still that the response time is considerably higher and I actually play fighting games competitively so, that kinda matters.

You can get the LG 4K OLED for a little over $2K now. Still, I hear you. I don't play competively on consoles, so I don't have that problem. I play all competitive games on PC. For TV/movies watching, the LG is king. I don't regret it at all.
