I have a friend who just moved there and lives less than a mile from the shooting. I feel like he’s gonna regret his decision quickly. I really don’t enjoy traveling/visiting there. He’s like ten years+ too late on it being what he wants from it I feel like
The West in general for what it is has jumped the shark. Theres a huge city that never sleeps culture that was able to reside and although I have a shyt ton of kids now, I'm glad I'm not a youth nowadays because if I was living in Vegas today I wouldn't be able to feasibly enjoy the nightlife. Can't park for free, can't enjoy one of the many cheap ass buffets, hell there arent even locals spots here anymore where you can just kill time for a reasonable amount of money. Can't stop at any of the taco spots at 330AM.
If that's happening HERE, then I know the nightlife in California is dead, with many places in some ritzy ass condo and commercial districts getting lit up in broad daylight on the regular.
There is an unimpeachable amount of character and history in those spots, but it looks like SoCal and NorCal needs to empty out just a little bit and reinvent themselves because this whole NIMBY social experiment is going to crash and burn HARD
