Nobody wants to be in Oakland. It's a slap in the face to the residents of Oakland. Wolf wouldn't stay in Oakland if the city offered to pay for the stadium.

Isn't Oakland becoming gentrified?
Why wouldn't Wolfe take a waterfront stadium?

The problem is Oakland politicians haven't stepped up to the plate. Look at what Sacramento did with the Kings. Why can't Oakland do that?

Everyone keeps saying the Warriors, A's and Raiders need to stay, but no one has came up with a solution. No owner is going to privately build a stadium in Oakland. So they would need public money and that aint going to happen.

I'm from San Jose and fukk yeah I want a team down there and I use to get tired of always having to drive to ATT and O.Co. I see no reason why they shouldn't move down there since they gave the Giants the T-Rights 20 years ago

I wish they can use some of that excess port space or move to Jack London Square but that seems out of the question. The A's deserve a new stadium, even if it's Cisco Field in SJ.

Territorial rights :childplease: The Giants got their single A team affiliate out of fear of them moving to Tampa twenty years ago.

The Giants were granted those territorial rights by the A's because they were trying to build a new stadium. It was a gracious act on behalf of the A's former owner (who apparently demanded NO compensation), but you have to understand that the Giants have invested far too much into the peninsula/south bay to just give up those rights without a lot of compensation.

The Giants went through 3 owners and a quarter century before they were able to leave the 'Stick for the China Basin. Good luck A's.
