Well if everyone can get into a university for free it further creates education inflation and good luck paying those professors

I'd rather live in an educated society that values education like Europe. Maybe you think there's something quaint about living around a bunch of uneducated, anti-science, non critical thinking nutcases.

:dwillhuh:"education inflation" breh, what?
We keeping folks stupid for business' sake? :dead:

:laff: homie really said "education inflation"

Y'all see what I mean when we bring up minimum wage. Those who already have the education and who are already living a comfortable middle class life do.not.want. others to obtain what they have without double the sacrifice.

education inflation :bryan:

I'm saying the original premise of using transaction fees by private entitites to pay for others' choice of education is rather socialistic.

So what do you call bailing out banks, who are so large and toxic, that if they fail the entire economy comes crashing down with them :sas2:

then why don't you?

Furthermore...I question that prognosis in the first place. I'll challenge test scores with technological and especially engineering advancement domestically all day.

Why don't I? Move to Europe? I plan on it, brother.

Do you really think having an under educated population outweighs having an educated population?

The Arsenal
Institutions would just raise their tuition pricing, especially in Republican controlled states which is 30, to get more revenue from students
wouldn't the govt have a say in setting the rates at public schools more so than they do now with private doctors in medicare?

I'm saying the original premise of using transaction fees by private entitites to pay for others' choice of education is rather socialistic. And it dillutes the value of "higher" education. At some point you'll need a PhD to differentiate yourself similar to how you need a bachelors at least now vs previously a diploma.
oh i see, so you're from the school of thought that says make things so hard to do to make them elite. but in reality you're saying make things so expensive to accomplish they are only for the RICH...ELITE.. i get it.

The part yall dont get is this. Yes it would mean your degree aint nothing special. haa haa..so what. if you're not that smart, and you're lazy. a piece of paper shouldnt get you in the door anyway.

So now what would a bunch of degreed up folks do in america if that were to happen? Well for one. A lot more americans would have some sense of how to analyze data and information. a lot more americans would have a better sense of how to research a subject matter and to come to a conclusion on said subject(which is more analysis).

it would also mean a lot more americans would know at minimum college algebra. and how to write at an 8th grade level at minimum(the level of your local news paper).

This alone would make your country more intelligent, more strategic, more able to deal with the numbers, the information gathering, the research, etc. This would make your country more productive in less time. working smarter vs harder. but if you actually could combine hard work with smart work...oh boy, you have yourself something special.

So sorry putting in a system where the degree is now the diploma isnt an autofail for the country. its only an autofail for not so smart people that though that piece of paper would make them look smarter then they really were. No more hiding behind that paperwork with ya lazy not that birght a....ses

Ok fair enough
How then do u propose we elevate our country's intellectual value to rival that of other educationally socialistic countries that seem to be statistically kicking our privately trained asses? Sir.
thats the problem he's not thinking about US, he's thinking about HIMSELF.
