Strange settlement. Mcdonalds and other fast food places should be held liable for people passing from heart disease prior to the average age of of death in America. Or alcohol brands in drunk driving deaths:hubie:

Wow. Coli brehs be on the wrong side of everything.

It was based on how the weapons were marketed. If McDonald’s made commercials featuring fat people stuffing their faces with big smiles and super models around them, it would be somewhat similar

How is it the gun company fault? If I crash my car and get injured can I sue them?

Yes you can.

Everything from the makers of the tires, to the dealership that sold it to you.

That's why car companies send out recalls.

I don't even own my 1995 Acura legend anymore but I still get recall notices from Acura saying about bad relays and sensors that have been recalled.

They'll do anything and everything in their power to absolve themselves of liability. Dont matter if you got an old hooptie or something brand new.

Gun manufacturer should have faught this shyt tooth and nail. It's nobody's fault other than the shooter and his stupid ass parents. CACs love to talk that personal responsibility shyt until it's time for a payout.

Really dumb decision. I don't know why they hold gun manufacturers to this weird responsibility for what legal owners do with their products. If i drive into a crowd of people Toyota doesn't get sued because the car doesnt have an anti runover system.

It's fukked up cause with black folks, it's like we're preaching to a brick wall.

There's a reasons laws are made, Megan's Law, Jason's Law, Sarah's Law.....when shyt happens to white folks....they change the rules and parameters.

I don't know how they do it, but it gets done.

I'd still like to see a John Crawford III Law, for John Crawford which requires at least two officers to provide verbal commands to any suspect prior to shooting. That doesn't mean they talk over each other, that just means two separate officers issue a command which increases the likelihood that they are either heard or acknowledged.

Cause when those officers walked into Wal-Mart and shot John Crawford III he didn't even know they were there, nor did he commit any crime.

i'm interested to know what the lawyers argued (the marketing that appealed to troubled people) that ultimately allowed the settlement.

this lawsuit would have us believe the killer was inspired by Remington’s promotion of its guns to troubled minds.
get tf outta here :mjlol:

a normal kid one day sees a Remington commercial and now he’s gonna shoot up the school :rudy:
