My thinking is that a guy like 'Quon should marry a woman who gives up her career.....but doesn't really WANT to give it up, and might even go back to work when the kids are older and his career is winding down. If he looked exactly the same physically but was some random engineering student (we'll call him SaVaughn Tarpley), she MIGHT date him (I doubt it), but she'd be scared of getting knocked up before finishing school. Most 21 year-old college girls wanna have fun, but they have no desire to carry a baby for a man they're not married to.
She wanted to get pregnant and he wasn't diligent enough to prevent that from happening. If he thought the women were fierce in Happy Valley, wait until he starts dealing with professional IG thots. If she really loves him and he's disciplined enough to avoid cheating, they'll be fine. However, she's gonna be looking for any reason to split and get her golden parachute. Based on interviews and seeing his family, I'm not sure if he'd be compatible with this chick long-term. She seems extra white and he doesn't strike me as especially white-washed. They will have very different views on child-rearing, overall values, division of responsibility etc. He will expect the kids to clean up while she'll want to hire a maid....shyt like that.
