coaches dont get treated the same

when they switch schools they dont have to lose a year

I really don't think a bunch of 18-19 year olds are sitting around embarrassed that their coach got drunk and said their rival schools suck.. if I was a kid I'd be looking at that shyt like ":ehh: coach isn't such a herb after all"

If it was irrelevant he'd be a HC somewhere right now, he's not even a coordinator, just a D-Line coach. He's not an X's and O's guy, he's just a motivator, rah rah guy. Good recruiter, good to have on the staff, but if he's your head coach you're in trouble.
You're basing that off of what you saw 10 years ago. People grow & learn. What i saw 2 years ago show me he's learned a great deal

They may not be embarrassed but trust me when I say the lack of respect will definitely be an issue....

I'm basing that off right now.. if someone thought he was a good head coach, he'd be a head coach right now, or fukk even a defensive coordinator. I've seen teams make emotional HC hires all the time based on interim success and then the guy never pans out in the end once he actually has to build his own program

impossible for student athletes to take their coaches serious when they putting their body and minds through 18 hour days (practice, training table, class, weight lifting, tutoring table) while coaches are getting faded off that Henny in the locker room.

How is it impossible? Those kids are doing the same thing every weekend...

We don't know what the dynamic is like between Sarkisian and his players, but he doesn't strike me as some hardass dictator who rules with an iron fist. If he comes to them and is up front and honest about whatever is/was going on with him, I don't think any players are going to lose any respect for him. If anything, it will make him more relatable.

We'll never know how he would have panned out. 6-2 with one of those losses in a game where your kicker misses 5+ FGs gives me a good indication

The only impressive win he really had was Stanford...and he lost to the two teams (ND and UCLA) that you have to beat if you're the USC coach.
