we don't watch people talk sports because we want to agree with them all the time. you will never EVER find someone who shares your opinion 100% of the time. we watch because we're curious to hear their opinion and their interpretation, even when he believe he's just being a hating ass mutherfukker.



but the fact is SAS is no less knowledgeable about hoops and sports in general than any random coli poster. the guy covers sports for a living. he's knee deep in this shyt 24/7.



first take was ESPN's hottest show purely for the fact that skip and SAS are both passionate loudmouths who are engaging to the average viewer. you might not fukk with their lyrics but their flow and delivery is undeniable.



when i first saw SAS back all those years i ago i knew he would be a star. didn't even matter what he was saying, he was the most dominant personality on screen at all times.



i for one will miss first take with skip and SAS. end of an era.

I agree. It's cringe worthy watching Stephen A by himself on First Take. I just saw his first segment against Will Cain (who I thought would be the perfect replacement for Skip), Will was too passive and wasn't his aggressive self, like he was scared of Stephen A.

They need someone with a strong personality and convictions to challenge Stephen A. Bomani, or someone like that needs to be pitted against him. I'm not sure if him and Max Kellerman would mix well.

SAS can basically get a blank check from ESPN at this point.

He's a joke now, but he's truly the glue behind first take, not Skip. Show wasn't popular until SAS came aboard daily.

If he left, first take would get canned and he could go to FS1 and re-boot it. ESPN would be scared of that.
