And how the hell is it called TRL when they dont play "requested" music? Why even call it TRL?

Came back this past fall, not sure about its appeal but I guess the idea of a show that invites guests and there's kids in the audience to ask them questions has somewhat of an appeal and viewership can be extended through Youtube. Its cashing on the notion of people wanting something from the past that isnt needed for sure, but I get why they did it
