but if you recall, in egyptian mythology the transformation from "osiris" to "heru" came through the destruction (re: mastery over) of SET.

even aleister crowley is watered down satanism. if you read his writings thoroughly you can see the righteous undertone, although he was still very controversial in many of his beliefs. everybody loves to focus on "do what thou will is the whole of the law" because it implies selfish impulses over the common good. but people didn't read it thoroughly because it actually says, "Do what thou will shall be the whole of the law," and the very next sentence says, "Love is the law, love under will."

The thing is Crowley wasn't watered down. The Love he was speaking of wasn't love unconditional but lust. In Satanism they are told to lust for people and not truly love unconditional as we see ourselves. The man lusted for power, attention and understanding. He lusted for boys and animals and his ability to conjure spirits during rituals.

There was nothing righteous about him.
