There's different kinds of Satanism. There's Anton LaVey Church of Satan Satanism, which is an atheist institution/philosophy that uses Satan as a symbol to promote elitist, individualist ideals and attack Christian values they see as dominant in the West. The version of Satanism that the people in this article practice seems to be similar to this. Then there is more occult, literal Satanism where Satan is believed to be a real figure and worshiped or followed, whether this figure is identical with the Biblical Satan or a different interpretation.
Does society really need that? We're already there, without it being said or magic spells among citizens.

Thanks for the straight answer

Nah there was never any rift. My family is Bermudian and Guyanese. The Indian side is Guyanese. My pops grew up dirt up around a lot of black folks, so it was nothing. There's a lot of race-mixing on the Guyanese side of my family.
Oh well that explains it. I thought is was stateside so I was like WTF.

Also your last username was better. :usure:

Does America need mainstreamed satanism to replace current religion and would you be as passionate in speaking down on Satanists?

I don't think religious symbols belong anywhere near government monuments or buildings, whether Christian or Satanist. But if you're allowing one, you have to allow the other.

I'm also not sure what you mean by mainstreamed Satanism. Which kind of Satanism are you talking about? Regardless, if it became a dominant ideology and started oppressing others the way Christianity does now, then yes, I'd be speaking down on it.

How does Christianity oppress Americans?

It unfairly allows itself social and political advantages that are not granted to Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, atheists, and whoever else. It winds its way into government policy and starts influencing decisions that affect people who do not subscribe to it, forcing them to comply with its doctrines even if they don't share them. It actively tries to suppress the influence of other religions or secular belief systems in the US instead of trying to help create a tolerant society. If a Buddhist ran for president, they would never win, even if they had the best policy ideas, because Christians can't bear to see a non-Christian in the supposedly-secular office of government.

I see. On a side note though. No one without a proper bloodline can win the presidency.

The thing is Crowley wasn't watered down. The Love he was speaking of wasn't love unconditional but lust. In Satanism they are told to lust for people and not truly love unconditional as we see ourselves. The man lusted for power, attention and understanding. He lusted for boys and animals and his ability to conjure spirits during rituals.

There was nothing righteous about him.

crowley was sick in a lot of respects and he certainly focused on the lust aspect of love. but crowley wasn't full throttle dark magic, he was just a sexual pervert.

but this conversation is so convoluted because ideas around dark magic and satanism vary from person to person. we are all using the term satanism but we aren't all talking about the same thing.

where do yall think the idea of anthropomorphizing one of your gods with a ram head originated?
