also liked pun -but his hatred for jay was on some bytch shyt
think what started it ...was the source awards when jay won over him
and that bottle story
if i recall it was the summer of '98 -club carbon {which was more freestlye/dance then hip hop club -so u know the ratio of latins to blacks is one sided} so jay & 3 of his peeps was in VIP. then pun, the terror squad & members of the latin kings roles up like 30plus deep to celebrate pun's newly platinum plaque
dem nikkaz see jay on the other side of the VIP. & all dem dime spanish mami's was showing jay more love -for the obvisous reason so pun & ts start chanting TERROR SQUAD ...TERROR SQUAD ...TERROR SQAD.., so one of jay boyz looks over and bout to say 'wats good' but jay taps him back like i got this. he calls over the hostess and buys out the bar {champagne only} several minutes later pun / ts orders another round of cristal & are told jay brought it all out. they start yapping & someone throws an empty bottle in jay / entourage direction. jays smiles, nods at pun -then him & his peeps leaves

Nas ditched him & clowned him, + started the "Nature moved to Marcy" & purse snatcher rumors.

I'm a huge Nature fan but it did seem like he took a lot of L's, physically and musically. Sauce made it look effortless the way he killed him. That "You got ran out of Marcy, cause one of these nikkas just doesn't belong here" line always has me 
Sauce is fukking hilarious the way he belittles nyggas. We can only imagine what he said about Pun that drove him to the point of kidnapping Whoo Kid...
edit - I almost forgot Sauce straight SHYTTING on a dead Tupac on "Wanted Dead or Alive", no doubt he coerced Jay to record that joint lmao

Fat Joe and Jay didn't get along before Pun came. Fat Joe even talked about how him and Jay used to get into heated arguments outside of Stretch and Bobbito about who's gonna go upstairs to rap.
I honestly don't think Pun disliked Jay, always seemed like it came from Fat Joe. They never fukked with each other.
Pun used to say Jay was one of his fav artists. So I agree with Cuban on that. It had to be because of Joe. But one rumor I did hear that may have Pun turn against Jay. When Pun was working on his 2nd album he wanted Jay on it. I read somewhere Jay charged a astronomical price for a verse And I guessed it tick Pun off. But it was just weird how this beef happened because I swear Pun bigged Jay up a couple times b4 that incident & DVD

True but Link has no issues with Pun, and his story doesnt glorify Pun compared to your friends brother. I am not saying anyone is lying but you know how stories get twisted over time. Now if Link made it seem like Pun was a superhero and ran the whole club out and smashed bottles, I would be a little suspect but his story is kinda a mutual thing. Either way cool story and Pun is a goat
