Not sure why you're aggy. I don't want a multipolar world nor do I feel any of the candidates are up to the task of leading it. In addition, I don't think it will be through their sheer ingenuity and growth, but rather out of pure US incompetence. Multipolar world's lead to great power conflicts.
The US doesn't have a long-term plan and can only see the future in election cycles. We've broken our social, political, and economic norms, which wouldn't be the worst thing if we could align on one path forward. Arguably the population is as divided as they were in the 1850's, however it's not divided over 1 issue, it's divided over 5 issues. Why would countries continue to want to follow that? Why would Europe want to follow us and they laugh at our last 2 leaders. Why would Southeast Asia follow us when we openly say we should dump Taiwan after we reshore chip production?
I'll tell you what, I won't bury my head in the sand while any of the moron gallery that was observed last night potentially has a significant chance at winning the white house.
