I liked Any Given Sunday. Not award winning or anything but entertained me all the way through.

The problem with this Savages movie is I could give a fukk about the two main characters and the girl. I don't even wanna root for those fukks, why would I wanna watch it!

Well the reason the cartel's kidnapped the girl and didn't kill her and those two guys was because those two guys knew how to grow the best product.... Similar to why Gus could never kill Walt during Season 3 of Breaking Bad....

The movie was good up until the fukking terrible ending...

and at the one black navy seal buddy getting offed...

I said this in the other thread on this after I saw an advanced screening for it

I actually was entertained by it, even if it was unrealistic. I also understood why they didnt kill dude and the girl.

But that ending

it pretty much killed that movie for me. I was gonna let a lot of the BS in the movie pass because it was entertaining. I didnt like Blake Lively narrating, but I let it pass. But that ending

Everyone walked out that theater with the face. The ending destroyed that movie.

Benecio Del Torro and Salma Hayak were the true stars of the movie tho. Great performances by those two.

There film goes into a final showdown between the dudes and Elena (hayak) in a desert. The dudes kidnapped her daughter, while she has O (blake lively). They both have snipers out and waiting to pull the trigger. They exchange the hostages, and Elena asks who is the snitch. Chon (Riggins), blows a kiss at Miguel (del toro). Elena gets ready to kill Miguel, but Miguel kills her first. Then a shootout happens, everyone gets shot. O kills Miguel because he kidnapped her and raped her while she was drugged - she didnt know until he showd video of it. The final scene is Chon, O, and Ben (Aaron Johnson). Ben has some injection which kills all of them, and they die in each others arms. The ending, right? NOPE!!!

IT was a dream ending for O. THey re-do. Same final showdown in the desert to exchange the hostages. Same set up. They do the exchange again. Elena hugs her daughter, but Dennis (travolta) and the fed was alerted to the final showdown by Miguel who is working for another drug lord and sold Elena out. The feds fly in and arrest everyone. Elena's daughter runs off as does Miguel. Elena gets 30 years in prison. Dennis takes all the credit and is a national hero. Miguel is now the head of his own cartel (they show him watching his son's baseball game). O, Ben, and Chon get arrested but dont do serious time because Dennis was working with them too. Ben has evidence on Dennis so they get a nice deal. They all disappear, nothing else but that. No one knows where they are, apparently not even O, but tehy are together or something. The last scenes splice together the happier times they had together in the film, and thats it.

I was gonna give it a pass too but they fukked up that ending bad... The entire time Im watching the film I was thinking that this was going to be one of those Oliver Stone films where it gets a cult following 15-20 years down the line up until I saw the ending

I Liked the Navy Seal aspect of the movie.... They should have had more action scenes... There was literally one action scene the entire film and they showed it in the commercial
