I kind of assumed it just goes together in saving ourselves I imagine we would save black women as well.
I mean I guess we can just save the men
And we are in this together black men and women but there are differences that come with being a black man and woman so sometimes we may need to discuss things we feel only other black men can understand vice versa for black women.
I don't understand all the struggles that come with being a black woman and I won't pretend to, I can try to educate myself but I can never walk in their shoes. I didn't take the thread as shytting on black women or belittling them in our collective struggle.
if black men can't even save themselves or work on their faults how can they be expected to support women or be someone they look to as reliable? while we work on ourselves we can still work together with black women, we need to work on self-improvement to become better men so we can be examples to our youth and someone who black women can see as actual leaders.
As stated above by other posters this year has really beat it into our heads how much "power" we really have I think we could all do with less typing at each other and more effort in our real lives to improve. A time may come when one of us may be tested we need to be ready for whatever comes and be ready to protect what matters or die trying.
