Dennis haskins used to puff weed and drink with the crew..and used to flirt with kelly..
after zack pounded her few time's he passed her around..and Dennis Haskins got lucky more than once..

The actor who played Max the magician who owned the max was hitting few crew members behind the scene..
man..those kiddie show productions were pretty toxic and fukked up..

the actor who played Jeff who snatched kelly from zack had a real life fight with ac slater off set..and nearly knocked out mario lopez cold because he was jealous of JEFF tapping Kelly..in real life.

I know about these tales because my cousin was part of the crew and also i went to see a few shows back in 1991.

Even on their E! True Hollywood Story, they mentioned the "swapping/dating" going on.

i would rather they did it to boys meets world..

They had Girl Meets World, which was okay, but didn't hit as hard.

Saved by the Bell was always wack, but it's always entertaining and hella addictive. College Years tried to be too serious, New Class was the same as City Guys (but worse) and all of those others that tried to duplicate it.

One World and Hangtime were dope.

the origin of the term saved by the bell:

People were buried alive so often in the 19th century that a safety coffin was invented so the "dead" would have the ability to alert
those above ground if they were still alive. Hence "saved by the bell".

Well someone is missing...a very memorable brat is missing

With all due respect to her this aint it breh...She's unstable and bipolar. If her character is treated with respect and the door open for an appearance that's the best we can ask for.

Even Carrie Fisher(RIP) had to drop about 20lbs and get her sh!t together for the sequels.

You should check out Girl Meets World then. It ran for three seasons on Disney Channel.

But before you check anything out, lower your expectations. It's not nearly as good as the original show. :unimpressed:

Makes me think though, they never really tried to duplicate the formula of The Wonder Years. The Goldbergs comes close but nowhere near as dramatic. Black-ish is dramedy, but not still not as close on the dramatic side, and not as nostalgic.

They could have done something like that, but I don't think it was up to them.

When the show was out, I talked a lot of shyt about it (while still watching it every week), but looking back, I think it failed for two reasons: Disney probably had certain restrictions on what the writers could do, which hurt the storytelling because you can't show a teenager coming of age when they're still stuck acting like a little kid. But also, I just think the writers lost their edge.

It's not like they didn't know how to write for their own show, but if you go back to the original, the way they handled issues and everyday problems were more realistic. Cory, Shawn, Topanga, and Eric all had to deal with things that changed how they looked at the world. They all had no choice but to grow up, and if something bad happened to them, the message was: "Well, that's life. It sucks but you have to learn how to handle it." Riley and Maya and the rest of them never faced any major problems that they couldn't solve. They never thought they were too stupid or inexperienced to understand something. If something bad happened to them, they would cry about it until the problem was fixed at the end of the episode.

You know what's crazy? When Girl Meets World ended, Andi Mack came out that same year. I've never watched it, but from what I've read about it, that show was closer to what Girl Meets World should have been than the actual Girl Meets World. So somebody definitely fumbled the ball there. :martin:
