Best way to natural save is to be cheap.

I cant tell u how many times I've been out with people who will grab a bite to eat and will easily spend like $7+on some fast food crap. Little purchases like that add up.
:wow: when you see a bunch of purchases that aint none above $11 but u still wasted $100s

If you saving $600 a month do what I did
Use that money to get in real estate wholesaling(if you in a good state/market:francis:). My step brother lives in ATL and I used $550 I saved and spend it on postcards(I send 200+) to send property's, bandit signs etc... now you may ask "you spend the most of it maybe all of it:francis:". But my step brother received 7 calls of sellers for their house after all the paper work we closed 3 out of the 7 houses:ehh:in 40 days:ehh:. In total we made 12k:blessed: so we split it 50-50 and I got 6k.so basically I made a 5k ish profit off the $550 I had:jawalrus:
I highly suggest more coli brehs that got extra money to get in wholesaling :obama:
 seriously

Saving your money is fine for awhile, but once you have stacked some bread, you gotta invest that money because the interest on a savings account is not going to beat inflation.

I think I've reached this point to be honest.

I have what I would say is an interesting dilemma. Really what I try to imagine in my head, is the extra bread i'm gonna stack on my existing savings is my "interest" that's beating inflation. & if not that, at least it's keeping me in the habit of saving still.

it is hard, extremely difficult to save if you are trying to maintain a social life though. i personally don't know how anybody can save and have an active social life at the same time.

What do you recommend for people who don't have a lot of savings?

Even run of the mill index funds seem to start at a $2,500 - $10,000 minimum.

Just in general. Because I don't know that most people in the country (and likely the coli) don't have that kind of money laying around...or perhaps aren't willing to invest most (or all) of their savings.

Even if you've got 5K laying around its gonna sting to cut that in half for a while. People have car payments, kids...etc...

Tough call. Speculative investing is something that usually comes far later in the setting up of financial security. I'd never suggest investing all of your savings because it's good to be somewhat liquid if possible if the shyt hits the fan somehow. An easier goal would be to keep 3 months saved if possible.

Can't go wrong with a Roth IRA as a simpler way to invest. It's post tax so the earnings aren't taxed later in life and you can set aside a lower monthly amount at least.

Is that Acorn app legit?
Doesnt seem worth it
:lupe:

I love the Acorns app. You have to invest enough to offset the monthly fees however I use that at the end of each year for Christmas and whatnot. It's $3 here, $5 there but it all adds up and I never miss it from my checking account.

It's just passive investing that adds up over time.

The $100 I've put in there are like $117 now and I've had the app about a year so :yeshrug:
My investments are pretty bad though, I don't keep up nearly enough, and it's my fault.
