10:mjlol:Shoulda saw my account last year. Regularly 3+ Gs, and at its peak I took a bus to go get a digital camera ($800 of gear) and I was a nervous wreck...almost went back home when I got halfway to the store. I really dont like big purchases, so anything I buy is something i thought about for months or years already.

I'm like this.

It's like a fukking final exam if I need to make a purchase over $1k that's not directly related to making me more money.

When it comes to my monthly spending... EVERYTHING is calculated and I'll leave a 10-15% overage for miscellaneous purchases. Everything left over is savings.

Also, now I'm single it makes it so much easier to meet my targets, without random shyt and purchases popping up out of nowhere.. dinners, social outings ect.. being a homebody saves you sooo much bread.

Also, life kinds throws shyt at you.. Moms wasn't working for a few months, so I had to cover the mortgage which kinda put a dent in my savings goal for the year, but such is life.

If you wanna worry less about money, the only true solution is to work towards making more while living below your tax bracket.

:ahh: Indeed breh.

I just started to do my own system to deposit a minimum of $5 every week and see how far it goes. :yeshrug: If I feel like I can do $5 every week, I'll probably bump to $10 and so on.

5. I'm good at saving money to a point, but if I get too much money (relative to what j spend) I'll end up throwing the excess cash away on bullshyt. Basically I have a savings "cap" mentally smh.

Pretty good. I opened a ira account a while back but I've used some savings to buy some things and pay some debt. I actively fund my savings account by dropping 1-5-10 bucks in at any given moment in addition to my monthly contributions. I still need extra income to fund my retirement however and that is going to come with a new career/ side jobs

Very good, I got better at it this year. I save close to 30%+, I use the money I get from my yearly bonus to pay bills throughout the year. A lot of people see bonus money as blow money but I don't. I never ball out. I can't fault people for being bad at savings. A lot of people's job don't pay well enough for them to have money to save. Now if you are bad at savings because you are too materialistic, that's on you.
