Easily a top 5 war movie. There have been so many great movies it's hard for me to do a Top 10 but Saving Private Ryan qualifies to at least be in the conversation.

I feel like it definitely contextualizes the horrors of war in a very gritty and up close and personal way. I don't believe it's even really properly replicated since it's release.

Apocalypse Now Redux is my favorite war movie. SPR was great but there's a whole lot of great war movies out there. I need to watch it again to see how it ranks.
