The Saw franchise isn't for everybody, honestly I really can't explain why I like them but I get pure enjoyment watching each movie for some strange reason.

It was good til they killed off jigsaw and tried to keep stretching the story. shyt was like a soap opera plot

These movies became trash but still enjoyable, like every other horror series with too many entries (Friday the 13th, nightmare on elm street, paranormal activity.. Etc.)

After Jigsaw wasn't the main antagonist AND after they made it so there was no way to win, it got stupid and pointless to watch. The great part about the first movies was that if you pushed yourself, you could survive (maybe not well or perhaps missing a limb, but survive), when that element was changed, it ruined it for me. Bringing it back later didn't help.

i thought the first one was one of the best "newer" horror movies i had ever seen. went to see saw 3 at the theatres with my boys and passed out 5 minutes into it. my dude woke me up as the credits were rolling. i've never wasted my time with any of the other ones in the series. i noticed the concept has been a constant rehash on horror movies via netflix.
