Didn't care before I saw the preview commercials just from having Depp playing Tonto for the last year or two.
After seeing the previews he looks exactly as Jack Sparrow with the paint except it has more white in it.
Looks fukking terrible, and I hope that it flops harder than John Carter so I don't have to see 3 more sequels come out with Depp for another okay at best movie.

They shot alot of this where I grew up, I think he got his certificate of indian blood their because they found out he was some kinda cherokee (smh), The only reason I wanted to see it was because Depp said he wanted to break native american stereotypes, And from what I heard is he just basically plays captain jack sparrow all over again.

it ain't horrible but its no man of steel either, was a pretty dope action adventure flick in the vain of temple of doom, pretty violent for a pg-13 flick the main villain in this cuts out his enemies hearts and eats it in front of them and licks his own blood, depp really wasn't playing jack sparrow like I thought he just looks like him, he has no personality and plays the native American stereotype so people won't get suspicious of what he's really up to, he's pretty much emotionless the whole movie, I think white people don't like being reminded of the evil they do. The actual lone ranger was your standard whimp who reluctantly has to save the day and get revenge. Its funny in places and some parts are stupid, but its a Bruckheimer flick so don't think too deep into things, movie reminds me of that Bruce Campbell tv show Briscoe county Jr

Now, the costumes are dope. Wouldn't be surprised if they get nominated for that. Really did a good job in getting you back in that time. The scenery was dope as well especially the desert scenes. Dope camera work.
The film clocks in at 2 1/2 hourswhich is too much, imo.
You hit it on the nail with these 2 points.
I actually really felt I was in 1869 when watching the movie. I hate action films (only watched this because the people I went with seen The Heat) but that train sequence at the end was sick. This movie should only be watched at the movies for the experience, one of very few films that stood out.
But aside from that didn't really like it. I didn't find The Lone Ranger to be likeable (he's protagonist and a good guy so he should be).
I give it a 5.5/10
I actually thought the critics would like this and there would be a sequel but the movie looks like it'll be the biggest flop of the year. 250 mill budget. How much you think Depp got from this? 25?
