my ds3 with MotioninJoy | Playstation 3|Xbox 360|Dualshock 3|Sixaxis|Game|Driver| than I emulate it so the pc thinks its an xbox controller
This what I use as well. I have Xbox 360 controllers, but I didn't feel like buying the wireless receiver. I had a white ps3 controller for the longest that was still in the box. Figure I make use of it. I prefer the Xbox controller, but I like how lightweight the ps3 is. I just connect it to my pc and use motion joy and you're set.

If you get the wireless receiver you don't have to worry about having a useless controller.....

:beli:

what if you don't even own a 360?

another advantage of the wired controller is you never have to charge it

wired 360 controller for the most compatibility
dual shock 4 for comfort on games that will support it
neo geo x arcade stick for 2d games that will support it (i also use xpadder or joy2key)

Dualshock three -fourths...... :huhldup::ohhh:

Sixaxis? :lolbron:

But it works good with the program here. The Dualshock holds up well with most older generations of consoles as well if you're into emulation. I don't recommend the XB controller because of the D-Pad - which is forged by demonic deities for humans to suffer as they play.

Most people do though. :manny: And for those that do it's the most practical choice. Who wants to charge batteries? Who wants to deal with wires? Both are valid questions. So as I said, go with the wireless receiver.
