I didn't know either til the song, but part of Drake being a "colonizer", is him buying 2pac's ring, buying Pharrell chains he used to wear.

Drake said those chains are Pharrells "legacy", and he said something else slick before that, which is what Kendrick didn't like

He lost tons of fans during the black face/push beef
it's a city of haters. they rode his momentum and hopped ship because he look like a loser. it's never real love and Drake never cultivated that type of audience. he lost clear and simple and i'm a fan of hip hop. I compare this shyt to Jay and Nas a lot because that battle had the same effect. I seen a lot of Jay die hard fans admit he lost. Most rap battles don't have clear cut unanimous victors. Eminem fans still pretend he didn't get got by a mediocre rapper,, he had more beefs than Kendrick and never any knock out blows. shyt is always down to the judges with him. Drake fans are at least being honest. Kenny got a KO
