Imagine having a good/great TV job in LA, and then all of a sudden your bosses moves your office & home base back to the lame-ass east coast, particularly suburban Hartford

And I would be looking for LA opportunities too instead of living in Bristol, CT.
Verrett probably has a family and what not as well. No reason to move to the east coast.
Saying that, there was no reason for espn to be in LA. Move to Boston or NYC.
