How many Rap/Hip hop labels did what 50 did ?
how many hip-hop labels achieved what G-Unit did ??

50 made G-Unit a PLAT Brand.. And he had a goal and achieved it, something labels these days cough *TDE*cough seem to be missing..

After blowing the fuuuuuuuuuuuck up, nikkas thought he was gonna drop his sophomore and be KING 50, but noap he had a goal..

off the buzz of GRODT, we had

Group Debut .. BFM = PLAT
Banks = PLAT
Game = PLAT
50's 2nd = PLAT
BUCK = PLAT
YAYO = PLAT

made them all household names..

nikkas keep on hyping Cole, Ross, Drake, Kendrick blah blah..

hows Bas doing :mjpls: ??
Cozz ????
PND
Majid
DVSN
Fat Trel
Triple C's
Stalley
Omarion
Gunplay
Rockie Fresh
Tracy T
Yowda
Whole Slab
Meek
OB Brien
Roy Woods
SZA
Rashad
Soulo

???????????????

Ross cant even go Plat himself and nikkas got the nerve to act like 50 didnt make G-Unit A GLOBAL BRAND !!

no rap label these days can ever do what 50 did... Drake a mega star and look at the OVO roster :scust:

G-Unit records could have and should have been so much more, considering the number of artists he's signed over the years.

50s said it before...many of those artist you mentioned were only successful because they came up off his momentum. I'd say outside of 50, Games the one that's done extremely well without 50, though tbh he didn't have much choice. Not to say Banks hasn't had success but yeah.

Even though i don't listen to the likes of Kidd Kidd or care for him, I'm wondering will he actually get to release an album:jbhmm:. Or will he just be another artist that just disappears into dust after signing. And if he did would he really sell much.

Though I'm sure at this point he's not particularly bothered he's just enjoying he "free" ride.

i wouldn't say exactly GREAT...

but it did very well in comparison to typical imprints like ILL WILL RECORDS and CTE

most rapper run labels don't do well...cause the "ceo" don't wanna make the sacrifices to see others besides himself shine

thats why i credit CASH MONEY regardless of thier flaws at the end of the day they are still consistent and still able to develop talent and generate revenue

G-Unit has only 19 releases in 13 years if you include 50's albums which were really Shady/Aftermath but whatever

Meanwhile MMG has 21 releases since 2009

With the backing the hype & success 50 had in 2002 aint no fukking way any artist in the same position would'nt have amassed the same accolades.

Ross was basically exposed for working as a CO & had to overcome 50.

Plus guys like jeezy ti gucci even trick da d daddy owned the streets & the south so he basically had to show & prove & overcome what was already established as who was the real deal

The odds was stacked so heavy against ross from the start & even more when the CO shyt came about

Ross since 09 has shytted on 50 jeezy & trick daddy made waaaaayyyy better music then them way more money and made mmg 1 of the biggest brands & labels in the game today.

Ijs :ld:

there WE'RE that great label but then they got stale and didn't even put quality material after a few albums later. everybody knows Dr. Dre & Eminem's involvement made them guys sell all those records. out of 6 of them albums you named Dr. Dre & Em had their hands on production & feature wise. they basically piggybacked off of the success of Chronic 2001 & The Eminem Show. anything behind that Shady/Aftermath umbrella was selling like hotcakes.
