Actually Obama was ducking the gay shyt until Biden forced his hand. And Obama was pretty pissed about it for awhile.
You all might be a little too young to remember all that though.
I remember that. Pretty much through all of his first term, Obama was saying that he wasn't for all of that gay mess.
Then Biden came out there, and said what he said; and Obama had two choices. He could either create a scandal that would mar his entire presidency, by showing that he and his VP publicly disagreed marking a break in his administration and showing that there were cracks in the armor, and they would have ran that into the ground over and over and used it against him...
Or... he could look at it as, he don't agree with fakkits but it's not his place to tell them what they can and can't do. It's not like he could come out there and say, "y'all sissies, cut out the fakkit mess, bruh" and they would stop.
And as much as I don't like homos, I will be the first to tell you that just because I don't agree with their lifestyle doesn't mean they should be treated like subhumans.
All I say is I don't want them around me. I can't force them to do or to stop doing anything.
So Barry O made the right call. After Biden stepped out there, Obama decided in the moment that the best option he had was to go ahead and affirm fakkit's right to exist. And he wasn't wrong on that.
