Saying "good morning" to another man at work...

I don't know about other companies but my emails only start with "good morning" if I'm addressing a bunch of people. If I'm addressing a single person it's usually Hi/Hey depending on level of familiarity

not that as a grown man at work you should be thinking about this anyway you there to make your money

But saying "Hi. Good morning" via email or IM is kinda



Just don't feel right.

I dont know about you but I work for a large scale operation where folks collaborate all day and prefer to message each other from their desks. Saying "hey good morning" or "hey good evening" to people I spend more time with every week than my own household--male or female--not only feels perfectly normal, but I think showing that level of family-like respect for one another is important. I dont see it as romantic or to be taken as a romantic advancement at all. I'd hate to work with a motherfukker that can't even say good morning before he starts badgering you with shyt for the day.

Compared to here in Seattle where it's perfectly normal to not say ANYTHING to anyone unless you're directly working with that person. Or know them.

Let me tell you something about the word “Good” brotha.

“Good” is an ancient Anglo-Saxon word “Go-od”, meanin the “Absence of color”.

I.E “it’s all good”, which it is

or

“Good will hunting” meaning “I’M HUNTING NIKKAS”

So if they are saying “Good morning” it means they want to hunt your black ass first thing in the morning.
