they do background checks and monitor the refs bro . The nfl pays guys to investigate these things but were in such a rush to get these replacements they failed to dig deep. A saints fan ? A professional poker player ? A guy who worked in the Seahawks training camp officiated the first Seahawks game . Ed houchli and these guys have some recognition it would be hard for them to pull shenanigans
