I'm finding that I'm getting bored with all these n1kkas albums after 3rd and 4th listen. Nothing is even exciting me any more. All these latest releases including MCHG just ain't doing it for me. Wale, Cole yeah they have moments but I never find myself wanting to put there albums on I just keep everything on random. I hope I'm not growing out of the genre but I jus don't care anymore not even anticipating nothin that's coming out or rhe garbage award shows. I wanna like it like I used to but i just don't and find myself listening to older sh1t all the time and enjoying it. No lie u enjoy the Coli more than the actual music y'all discuss nowdays.

Bruh I listen to everything. I am a producer myself and own a studio. I hear all types of sh1t so that's not it. Sh1t jus not exciting no more. I think I'm gettin to that place.

its because rap has limited subject matter, every rap song is built around basic words like fuk, nicca, bytch, shyt, with that as your foundation every song is basically going to be a variation of the same thing

listen to every song in any album that has come out in the last month and you will notice they are all based around the words fuk, nicca, bytch, shyt

Like someone said, if you expand what you listen to that will help. Most of the shyt I listen to is underground shyt and I find it a lot better and more satisfying emotionally and intellectually. And in practicaly every way. There's a lot of great Hip Hop music that's come out recently and more to come. You just have to know the artists.

Recently K-Rino has been dropping incredible fire albums. AZ's new joints have been gems. KRS-One's joints have been crazy, albums been dope. Chino XL's album was fire, double disc too. Brother Ali's album was nice with some great standout songs. Papoose's album was dope overall with some great songs. Saigon's albums have been dope. I could go on and on cause there's a lot of dope shyt. I understand your position as mainstream wise there ain't that many people doing it for me, Nas I still feel his music, Jay I check for (even thought not a fan of the new shyt), but Hip Hop is huge, there's plenty of quality artists.
