Memorizing raps doesnt = incredible rapper to me. Jay-Z was incredible to me for other reasons, none of which are this writing in his head thing. Maybe if he put pen to paper he would be way better than he is, lyrically.
Did you listen to the different interviews though? Bun and Cam both was saying how Jay didn't just spit a generic as verse. They believed he made that shyt up right there on the spot cause he had references to the song topic in the verses. So yeah I've always been the type that I don't care about none of the behind the scene tricks just how good the music is but if he's able to come up with a verse and memorize it that quick and spit it in one take that's some amazing shyt.

Not to change the topic or anything but before the Drake shyt I always thought that ghostwriting was exactly that

A nikka handin u in the verses in a piece of paper and u finding the beat and rappin said lyrics to it

Let me find out, the ghostwriter not only write for u but he also lay down the vocals and shows u how to flow to the beat

:ohhh:

So a nikka's only job is to memorize the verse, shyt even punch it in bar by bar with ya own vocals and there u have it

But since Jay dont write I would imagine he passed Dre ''Still Dre'' with his vocals and Dre just replaced jays voice with his

If this is true it'd be dope to release the original Still Dre with jigga on it

They should definitely release it I mean its been 20 years since it came out

N yeah I remember there was a thread where someone posted The Dream version of some hit songs, remember listenin to rhianna's umbrella orginal by the dream

I guess thats what big acts do in the music biz... Labels and management companies have poured so much money into making them household names that it is cheaper to buy up and coming artists hits for these acts rather than raising another superstar
