My god man you nikkas getting killed for insurance. Yall had tickets or something? I understand the Chargers especially Scat Packs and shyt but I had no idea they were this expensive to insure. I'm good on my little Honda Accord 2019 I'm only paying about $100 a month for.

Top Reasons Car Insurance Is Expensive in New York

  • People in New York are driving more. As a result, the number of accidents, claims, and payouts is rising, too. In New York, there were approximately 1146 fatal crashes in 2018, versus 1041 fatal crashes in 2014.
  • New York auto repairs are getting more expensive. Another reason New York auto insurance is getting more expensive is that cars are becoming more expensive to repair. In 2016, the average cost of car repairs in New York was $1,301.64, up from $1,151.78 in 2012. Vehicles today cost more to repair due to all the technology and features inside them now.
  • People in New York drive uninsured. As the cost of car insurance continues to rise, more drivers take the risk of driving without car insurance. In 2015, 6% of drivers lacked even minimum liability insurance in New York. The cost of uninsured drivers is passed on to consumers through higher premiums.
  • Healthcare in New York is getting more expensive. Car insurance companies are hit hardest when paying out claims involving medical bills, and it’s not getting any cheaper. Healthcare spending increases by an average of 5.4% every year in New York.
  • New York is experiencing more severe weather. In New York, severe weather events like winter storms, flooding, and severe storms are becoming increasingly common. These weather events cause insurers to pay out a higher number of claims, which tend to be more expensive and less predictable. As a result, they have to raise rates to keep pace.
I also want to add that someone once told me that insurance companies also Charge New Yorkers more because their paychecks are larger. This is what I was told tho can’t verify how true it is.

Idk if y'all follow CJ on 32's youtube channel but his Scatpack is filthy

They posted this on the Mopar group I follow on Facebook and you already know the cacs were on that

:mjpls:

Mopar groups are fun but whenever someone black post their whip the reality of these cacs come out.

We had a bruh from Mississippi who put 30 inch rims on a Hellcat. His Hellcat broke down on the highway the next day and those cacs had a field day on him in that group.

ya...I can’t speak to the rates for car insurance now in NYC but I was paying $2400 total for 6 months just for liability 15 years ago :mjcry: now in VA I’m paying around $600 total for 6 months for “full coverage”

I remember those days.... I had a dude at my job who had a side hustle of getting fake insurance. When I first got insurance here in NC, it was like being free :blessed:

NYC is rough when it comes to car insurance...:why: especially depending on the car you have its fukking ridiculous...

Not to mention they also use your zip code. Most Brooklyn and Bronx zip codes would always get the :mjlol::pachaha::ufdup:from the agents when you would call and try to get a quote. The messed up thing for me was, before moving to NC, we lived almost right on the Queens border. Cross Cypress Ave, and you in Queens (11385 zip code). Sometimes, due to the wonderful alternate side of the street parking, I would wind up having to park my whip in Queens. But they always wanted that Brooklyn zip code :martin:

Bro it’s a Hellcat, shyt looks silly w them big ass wheels. Now if it was a donk it would make sense word to donkmaster and CC. Color of the car look tacky too. Again, on a donk I’d fukk w it.

It’s a scatpack but I guess the scat and Hellcat are very similar in body and structure
