Been thinking about this lately. Will have to do some research to see if allowed.
But...
I would want to start a lotto scratch off business(Not a lotto supplier like a corner store). Buy $50K worth of ticket rolls (Not all at the same time) and hire a few "scratchers" to help me scratch the tix.
I could write the losing tickets off as a loss. I could possibly sell winning tix at a loss as well (both for tax purposes)
From there use the earnings/winnings to buy more rolls. Rinse amd repeat till I hit one of the Million Dollar plus winners.
I see it similar to a mining company. You might hit oil, or you might not...
