Sup brehs, I got back into my alma mater (University of Maryland) and I'll be doing Public Policy degree there. I think it is a fantastic program and I wish I had gotten into the dual BA/MPP joint a few years ago, but I was ignorant. I start this Fall semester.

Anyway, I work full time in DC and my job don't got no tuition reimbursement program. I have to work so I can keep paying the bills for the fam and myself. A grad assistantship is literally half of my salary at this point. I was wondering though.. could someone like me who has to keep working get some other kind of assistance aside from a loan? I just don't know where to look. :flabbynsick:

Any help would be appreciated :salute:

And I'm going for a career in international development work and I'm making it my degree focus.

I don't know, but I'd join Maryland's alumni linkedin group because it's bound to have one and I'd ask the question in there. I don't know if @mastermind would know anything.
Breh I'm scheming myself, although I won't be goin to CP.

You can try linkedin and see what people have. Particularly the Black Alumni group.

Good luck.

Loans might be the way to go bruh. Ideally, if you can just knock out that 36 credits in 3 semesters tops, maybe you wouldn't have to take out a large one. I don't know. I had tuition waiver and still struggled due to the course load and responsibitlites. Couldn't get an actual job while doing it. That was for a science though.
