Those racist white frat parties are nothing new 'cause they're able to function in the bubbles that they live in since their multicultural interaction is literally zero.
This, however, is probably the slickest shyt I've heard in a minute. These schools literally have board meetings for every decision they make, so for them to pass this menu off for black history month is so bold. I can't believe that at no point before they went ahead with it, no one thought that it would be offensive.
Let them try to put out an Auschwitz or Dachau menu and see what the fukk would happen to their asses. But yet it's cool to do a Black History "menu" as if chicken historically was discovered during the Reconstruction Era and entered into the public lexicon by George Washington Carver shortly after he figured out a way to synthesize/clone watermelon seeds, which were instrumental in feeding millions during the Great Depression.

No they're not, because racism, or should I say prejudice, is simply taking on a new character. In years past, even those lowliest of whites held completely dominion over black people. Blacks would have to bow, act subservient --- you name it. It was psychologically reassuring to white folks. Now many of they are increasingly unable to tap into that white privilege that was so readily afforded to them in generations past, because of their decreasing political and economic power. Millions of whites dont have the power to be racist nowadays, and that number grows. Its obviously driving many of them crazy.
They turn on the tv and they see Lebron dominating, Sherman talking sht, black talking heads, Obama ruling...they walk down the street and hear rap music blaring, and some lil thugged out niglet walking with some tight becky holding his hand, all while they shuttle to their b.s job and meager existence. Although black folks still have it rough, to white folks these are indignities they feel they shouldnt have to suffer...and its a daily thing.
In the past they hated us because they looked down on us. Now they resent us. Big difference. There is a lot of fear, envy, and self loathing mixed into their makeup. Black folks need to capitalize on this.

And on a side note, I'm surprised that black people still find this shyt humorous. It's beyond corny and lame at this point. We get one month and they can't even last 28/29 days (not even a full month) to not be on some bullshyt.
I've been reading comments around the web about this story, and as usual, white people are pretending to not see the problem here. "doesn't everyone like watermelon", "we always ate fried chicken growing up, does that make my mom a racist"

They do this EVERY year at some school in the US. It's so stupid. Or they'll do something else dumb like teach kids about OJ Simpson and Flavor Flav for Black History Month (which actually happened a few years ago).
that's just ridiculous. Oh seen, makes more sense, I suppose. Things like this is why I will never fully participate with white people when black topics are being addressed. They let fukkery slide under the guise of being inclusive.

LOS ANGELES - Three Los Angeles elementary school teachers accused of giving children portraits of O.J. Simpson, Dennis Rodman and RuPaul to carry in a Black History Month parade have been removed from their classrooms, a school district spokeswoman said Wednesday.
Children from other classes at the school displayed photos of more appropriate black role models, such as Nelson Mandela, Harriet Tubman and President Obama, Los Angeles Unified School District spokeswoman Gayle Pollard-Terry said.
The incident occurred Friday at Wadsworth Avenue Elementary School in South Los Angeles, where the student body is more than 90 percent Latino.
District Superintendent Ramon Cortines placed the teachers - all white men who teach first, second and fourth grades - on administrative leave on Tuesday while an investigation is conducted, Pollard-Terry said.
"The superintendent will not let anyone make a mockery out of Black History Month," she said.
The issue was brought to district officials' attention by the Los Angeles chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People after the organization received a complaint early Monday, chapter President Leon Jenkins said.
Jenkins said he felt the teachers acted in concert to mock black heroes and children's innocence.
"These are not the people we want our young people to emulate or believe these people represent the best of the African-American community," Jenkins said. "It's hard for the NAACP to believe this was a mistake."
Simpson, a former American football star, is serving a nine-year prison sentence for robbery and kidnapping. He was famously acquitted in 1995 of murdering his ex-wife and her friend.
RuPaul is a drag queen performer. Rodman, a former basketball star, has gained notoriety for bad boy behavior on and off the basketball court.
Some parents at the school on Wednesday said the issue was overblown.
Sharon Tinson, who has two daughters at the school and attended Friday's celebration, said she had been surprised to see Simpson displayed in the parade. But she noted that Simpson, like Rodman, was a great athlete before falling from grace. RuPaul simply has an alternative lifestyle, she added.
She noted the event also included a tribute to pop singer Michael Jackson, who has also had a checkered career.
"I kind of laughed at it," Tinson said. "I wasn't offended."
Gabriel Blackson, whose son attends the school, said he also took a larger view of the ruckus.
"These guys were heroes before. People make mistakes," he said. "I think they show kids they can be somebody, to push them to be somebody."
Jenkins said he is calling for the teachers to be fired.

I work at a college and im on the committee for Black History Month we had food as well them cacs gon say we going to have fried chicken collard greens etc catered I looked at them like 
and they asked what should we have catered instead because for Hispanic heritage month they had tacos and shyt and I really realized that as black folks we had our culture taken away from us and adopted southern whites culture so I agreed but I told them if I see 1 watermelon imam fukk somebody up

To play devils advocate a bit : Do we as black people not "claim" soul food?
Is it not another thing that is OURS?
People try to claim it as "a southern thing"...I think that's bullshyt, and another attempt by white people to steal OUR culture. Soul food was about slaves taking the "dirty", unwanted things and making something beautiful with it. Cacs saw how black folks were eating and copied us (as usual).
Not to support the schools decision. Watermelon probably doesn't belong there, and they should could have made a bigger effort to explain that they are honoring African American cooking traditions. But....I don't get why we are supposed to feel "ashamed" by claiming our own shyt. If it were "Chinese Heritage Month" would they not serve eggrolls and noodles? If it were "Italian Heritage Month", would you not expect Pasta and garlic rolls?
White folks are essentially stealing soul food right now (They are opening up all kinds of restaurants and shyt), black folks are too self-conscious to care I guess....
