Ross is one of the best characters of rap. You can tell he studied other greats like Dino Bravo, Mr. Perfect, The Million Dollar Man Ted Debiase and Ric Flair.
A lot of rappers don't have a dedication to staying in the same character for as long as Ross been doing it.
Not even rap vets like Snoop (went from gangsta to player to pimp to rasta) or Jay (went from smooth dealer to grimey gangsta to smooth hustler to rich camel) can hold onto ccharacter that long.
