You are missing the question. I explained why I didn't love the press conference, and it's not really that big of a deal I agree.

Here is what I am asking you: why do many people feel the need to defend Cam so hard, just because a person was rubbed the wrong way by the press conference? I'm wondering why certain fans feel like they need to immortalize these players as if they can do no wrong
.

So check it, if the presser is no big deal, than why is it a big deal that a person didn't like it?

You're missing the point. People defend Cam, because there's a HUGE double standard in the way he's treated in comparison to other QB's.

Cam gets attacked for the samethings others get passed up on. For example ( and I'm not sure why nobody brings him up) look at Phillip Rivers in San Diego. Phillip Rivers is the ultimate piece of Shyt human being. He's extremely obnoxious, he's extremely arrogant, and he goes in the opponent face and acts a fool. Yet nobody in the national medi says anything about this. Actually they do to quote Ron Jawaorski " I would love to have Phillip Rivers on my team" ( This is when they was talking about trading him to the Titans). Yet again nothing against Rivers.

Secondly don't bring up the Peyton manning Bree's situation. What about when Jay Cutler went against the Packers in the 2011 championship game? What about when he was talking about breaking through the packers; and all of sudden after the game ? He doesn't shake not one person hand, does a interview shorter than Cam Newton, does ( Talked about that able injury). Again no media outrage, no sore loser talk. All that was talking about was Brian Urlacher going off on the media, about them question in the severity of Jay Cutler ankle injury. Again nothing about being a sore loser, nothing about being a jerk. But let Cam walk out a interview and the house burns down. Oh Jay Cutler is a jerk ( He also talks too much Shyt), again he's not being bashed in the media on the same scale.

Thirdly you brought up, celebrating on the field, again where's this criticism of Favre? Let me guess he's a big kid right? Where's the criticism of Drew Stanton? Where's the criticism of Tom Brady? But Cam has fun, it's a problem. That's why people go hard for Cam. He gets attacked for doing basic Shyt while others just get off.

Btw: During that 2007 patriots season, when they were going for two after being up by 36 on the redskins Nov 17 2006, what did tom ( Wonderboy) Brady and Randy moss, say after that game? They said they should stop us then ( I'm going to see if Belichick agreed, I'm not fully sure so I won't put it down).

Here's other small examples of hypocrisy against Cam Vs others

1) Cam gets stripper pregnant, doesn't marry her ( Yet). This gets a letter from the Charlotte Observer from some old bytch, then it becomes on yahoo, CNN and Huffington post. Tom Brady gets Bridget Monyihan pregnant, leaves her during pregnancy then nothing happens. No media, no nothing.

2) On NFL today Teddy Bradshaw ( Hall of famer) goes in on what Cam did at Auburn University, " He's irresponsible", then other people follow suit. Nolan Nawrocki ( Head scout at pro football weekly), Cam actions at Auburn " Show he's not responsible or dependable". Bleachers report head scout Jim Folsom, his " He's very immature for the QB position", in "five years when Tim Tebow is leading Denver to the playoffs" ( Lmao). Again this was all under of what he did off-the field at Auburn. But what about Peyton manning? Where's the criticism for what he did at the University of Tennessee? Where were these same comments about him putting his nuts on that trainer female head?

Again this is why people defend Cam Hard, there's clearly a double standard in the way he's treated.

And before you bring up Russell Wilson ( It seems to be everybody go to card). Cam is not Russell Wilson, and vice versa. Us black people have the right to be individuals as well.

Done!

I'll say one thing, if you're being lumped into being a Cam hater when you're not then it may just be a function of the circumstances. There are a TON of legit Cam haters out there from the comment sections to the media. And sometimes it's hard to discern whether your just expressing singular dislike for something he's doing at the moment vs not like him or his character/personality at all and spewing hate whenever the opportunity arises. The former makes it harder to judge who is the latter. And it hasn't gotten easier after this Superbowl, so if I was you OP and you just don't like Cam for this one thing then I wouldn't take the Cam hater criticisms too hard.

@SJUGrad13 I'm laughing because the names you brought up are all people whose attitudes I really can't stand (Rivers, Brady, Cutler, etc.)

So what I'm gathering is that, because of the media double standard, which I agree exists, that ruins it for normal fans such as myself to have an opinion on one of his actions, and not come off as though I have a bias against him? I mean I know I made a really high quality video while driving my car on my iPhone, but believe it or not I am not a media member.

:ohhh:

And don't get me started on Russell Wilson. That guy might have my least favorite interviews in all of sports. I'll take what Cam gives to the media, sore loser and all, over Russell's robotic boring nonsense.

You asked why people go hard in defending Cam. I answered that question. People see hypocrisy in the way he's treated. If you disagree with him that's fine; but if you wonder why people are going extra hard? There's your answer.:manny:

I feel what you're saying here for sure. I can respect that. To be clear though, I'm not personally offended by being called a hater. Definitely not. I am asking the question because I think that word gets thrown around waaaaaaaay too often because it's an easy out. People are uncomfortable with a person disliking anything about their favorite athletes or celebs in general (like I said in the video this is not just about Cam it's just the current example, though I do see why it may be different with him). So they'd rather call someone a hater than to really look at the criticism. These guys are put on way too high of a pedestal IMO.

Why is talking to the media such a big fukken deal?:mindblown:

Who gives a fukk?

Most of the media has already created a narrative and then they just pepper their articles with some quotes.

I mean wtf? do you guys have a short memory?

Don't you remember how the media who have articles on Marshawn Lynch who would not talk them? I mean the whole article is about how Marshawn would not talk to them, not about football.

Even if Cam won the Superbowl, he would be painted the villian, because that is the narrative they chose.

You're allowed to not like Cam Newton's post-Super Bowl press conference.
As long as you are on record as not liking Peyton Manning walking off the field when Drew Brees busted his ass after that Super Bowl.
Or any other instance where a player didn't feel like answering the media after a game.

But if you didn't say shyt before, don't come say it now.
And given how much shyt Bill Belichick gives the media, I'd expect you to make a "I didn't like that postgame press conference behavior" thread after every Patriots game in 2016.

I think the craziest part about it, and I could be wrong but don't think I am. A lot of people care more about me not liking the press conference, than they do about me saying I'd take him or Rogers first if I was starting a team.

:leon:

To me the latter is much more important because they play football. However, people will read this thread and be like "why you so mad about a press conference tho??"

:mindblown:

It's just strange to me.

Cam Newton is a fukkboy, just like Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Peyton, etc.

Outside of Russell Da Gawd most of these QBs are entitled fukkboys.

First of all, all credit goes to God. This was a team win. We practice hard and we play hard. Coach had a great game plan and we executed. You know, execution. Team win. God. Great fans. Love. Happiness. I am Russell Wilson. I am robot. Football.

:camby:
He's the worst.
