Garage was before grime and is more party/club music/or music for adults, the tempo is around 130bpm

Grime is basically its mutated dark child, which was basically created by the the youth and early 20's, those that couldn't hang with its older sibling, grime is more gritty and dirty, pretty much dont care about being perfect kind of attitude and its mainly around the 140 bpm.

put it this way, garage is like ll cool j, run dmc and slick rick, BDK

and grime is like Mobb deep, wu tang and jay z
