One mark of a grown man is self control. If that high school out of shape female could throw punches that have a man defending himself like that, he probably didn't finish puberty properly.

If he got that enraged from her patty cake hits that he goes full assault, it means he's mentally weak.

He could've shoved her properly. He didn't

Whole heartedly agree that you gotta have self control as a grown man. Totally agree that the expectations for the adult authority are higher than those for a kid. Legally and job wise he got no leg to stand on.

However, an all time pugilist, philosopher, podcaster, big cat breeder, and stage performer once said..."Everybody got a plan until they get hit in the face". Its easy to say what someone should or shouldn't do in a situation. Getting punched in the face is getting punched in the face and you are gonna react to that. The adult gotta be better but taking a punch to the face in stride with no reaction is too much ask of anyone.

And just because the adult has more responsibility doesn't mean the kid has carte blanche to do whatever. Its a two way street. Authority figures are held to a higher standard of behavior and supposed to set an example and the kids are supposed to be respectful and follow and not punch them in the face. Both parties have a responsibility to hold up their end.

Perhaps the problem is, we don't recognize that childhood ends at 12-13 for many people. For some it may be even younger. After that, I guess they are young adults.

Listen, I worked with troubled youth. Youth that had been arrested and placed in programs. THESE ARE NOT CHILDREN!!! They know EXACTLY what they are doing. And they know they will be protected for doing their fukk shid. In other words they are gaming the system!

I will agree that he lost control and went overboard. He didn't have to keep chasing her to drop bombs on her. One or two punches and she would have shrunk.

So while he went TOOO far...I do side with him blasting her in the mouth as a reaction. And that's the problem: He will get fired for just ONE hit.

We have to reel our kids back, and reinstill the fear of God in them for fighting or even talking to an adult in a certain manner.
