Album grew on me.
I thought the replay value on this would be low, but I been bump in it like crazy. I might throw this ahead of Oxy in the end.

Tyler is about to do nearly 200k first week off an album with barely any rapping. Very interesting how OF managed to keep their fanbase engaged while TDE has starved many of their artists with this 3 year album hiatus shyt. Yea yea yea, "everyone takes forever on their albums" blah blah. You can't disappear like this. You kill your career unless you're Cole/Drake/Kendrick.
Eh. It depends. You can leave for a few years, but you gotta come back with some shyt.
Either that, or you have to have one of those promo runs where you become absolutely unavoidable for a a while.
Neither of those really happen with non Kendrick TDE artists. None of their albums are bad, but none of them are ones that automatically enter the album of the year discussion. And a lot of times, you get a release date a few weeks out, and that's it. No real promo.
They just aren't good at promoting their artists, or at least being real with them and letting them know that they aren't Kendrick, so they need to stop trying to move like him.

shytting on his own music that many of his fans regard as his best, just because mentally he isn’t in that place anymore. Especially when most consider this current album as by far the worst music he has ever put out.

Wonder what he'll say about Crash Talk in 3 years when he's promoting a new album. This one didn't go #1 either, got worse reviews and will almost certainly sell less than Blank Face.

I'm sure he'll tour but the lack of focus or interest on his part is very telling. Based on those interviews it just seems like he don't want to go back to doing non sold out shows at those 3-6k venues again...
